Tourist Info Center

The Bangladesh Tourism Board initiated a project to set-up tourist info center and appoint a dynamic management team for the Centers, located at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Osmani International Airport, and Benapole Land Port. The goal was to provide necessary information about the touristic destinations of the country to both domestic and international tourists arriving in Bangladesh.

CEMS played a crucial role in this initiative, utilizing its expertise to set-up the booths with eye-catching design and streamline the selection process for these management teams. Their contributions were pivotal in evaluating potential candidates, ensuring they possessed the necessary skills to manage a wide array of responsibilities. These included providing accurate and timely information about travel, accommodation, and local attractions, and serving as the initial point of contact for tourists.

At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, CEMS' involvement was vital in overseeing the management of a high volume of international travelers. They ensured that the team there could offer comprehensive information about Bangladesh's tourist destinations and cultural sites. Similarly, at Osmani International Airport, CEMS helped ensure that the management team effectively assisted visitors arriving in the Sylhet region with relevant local insights.

At Benapole Land Port, CEMS facilitated the management of information flow and support for travelers entering Bangladesh by land, aiming to make their entry as smooth and welcoming as possible. The management teams, selected with CEMS’ guidance, were chosen for their expertise in customer service, familiarity with the local tourism landscape, and ability to handle diverse tourist needs.

The successful implementation of this strategy, supported by CEMS, enhanced the overall tourist experience, promoting a hospitable environment and positioning Bangladesh as an attractive travel destination. By ensuring high-quality information and support at key entry points, the Tourist InformationCenters significantly contributed to Bangladesh’s tourism sector.
